COVID-19 Update As Of December 13: 106 New Cases, 4,974 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 268,914 specimens were examined with the result that there were 106 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,259,249 people and 4,974 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, December 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 278 cases, bringing the total to 4,110,327 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 12 people and a total of 143,948 people.

The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 17 cases and a total of 708,357 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 16 new cases with a total of 864,406 cases. East Java has 14 new cases and a total of 399,742 cases. Then, Central Java with 12 new cases and a total of 486,642 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 51 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 40 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 36 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 25 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 58,431,254.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.09 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,118 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 144,875,959 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 103,098,857 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,260,465. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
