Bandung Mayor Oded's Body Taken To Tasikmalaya For Burial

BANDUNG - The body of the Mayor of Bandung for the 2018-2023 period, Oded M. Danial, was dispatched by ambulance with a convoy of vehicles to Tasikmalaya for burial.

The group departed from the Pendopo (Bandung Mayor's Office House) on Jalan Dalem Kaum Bandung City to the burial place at around 18.40 WIB.

"Hopefully all of today's affairs will be carried out, the deceased will be buried in Tasikmalaya," said West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil during his funeral quoted by Antara, Friday, December 10.

Apart from Ridwan Kamil, there were also a number of regional officials and prominent figures, including PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan, a number of city and district regional heads, and the Chairman of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Ahmad Syaikhu.

Light rain accompanied the departure of Oded's body when it was taken to the ambulance. The plan is for Oded to be buried in a family cemetery located in Tawang District, Tasikmalaya City.

The figure of a politician from the PKS died at the age of 59 years. The man who was born in Tasikmalaya, November 15, 1962, also briefly accompanied Ridwan Kamil as Deputy Mayor of Bandung in the 2013-2018 period.

Oded was declared dead of a heart attack. Oded collapsed while attending Friday prayers at the Mujahideen Mosque on Jalan Sancang Bandung.

After collapsing, Oded was immediately rushed to the Muhammadiyah Hospital. When he arrived at the hospital, Oded was declared dead.
