Bandarlampung Transportation Agency Deploys 200 Personnel On Christmas And New Year

BANDARLAMPUNG - The Department of Transportation (Dishub) of Bandarlampung City, Lampung, will deploy up to 200 personnel for the smooth flow of traffic during the Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 periods.

"According to the direction of the Mayor, we have dispatched 200 personnel to help smooth traffic in the face of Christmas and New Year," said Acting Head of the Bandarlampung City Transportation Service, Socrat Pringgodanu, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 10.

Pringgodanu said the prepared personnel would later be placed with the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Bandarlampung Police at a number of points to prevent congestion at Christmas and New Year.

He also revealed that the deployment of Dishub personnel will start from December 23, 2021 until January 3 to 4, 2022.

"Later, personnel will be placed at points that are suspected to allow for crowds," he said.

According to him, the main points that will be sterilized on Christmas and New Year are the Adipura Monument and the intersection of the Al-Furqon Grand Mosque (lungsir) which is indeed the center of the crowd in this city.

Then, he continued, in the future there will be several additional points that will be sterilized from the crowds at Christmas and New Year.

"There may be a few additional points to anticipate traffic jams at Christmas and New Years. The road arrangements for Christmas and New Year will continue, but there will be a focus on the predetermined points," he said.
