7 Suspects Of Corruption In Public Relations Uniforms At Mukomuko Bengkulu Immediately Trial

MUKOMUKO - The Mukomuko District Attorney, Bengkulu, handed over seven suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of uniforms for members of public protection (linmas) in the 2020 fiscal year to the Bengkulu Corruption Court.

"We have handed over the files on the handling of the corruption case in the Linmas uniform. Today we brought them to Bengkulu City to be deposited in the Bentiring Prison," said Head of the Mukomuko District Attorney's Office, Rudi Iskandar, through the Special Head of Special Investigations Division Andi Setiawan, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 8.

Kajari said his party brought the seven suspects in the case to Bengkulu City to make it easier for them to undergo the trial process at the Bengkulu Class II A Tipikor District Court.

He hopes that the legal process against the seven suspects in the case will be completed quickly and that the suspects can quickly get a final decision from the court.

"We have submitted this case file to the court for trial. Hopefully the trial process can run smoothly," said Andi.

Of the five suspected ASNs, two of them are heads of regional apparatus organizations with the initials RD and AH, heads of divisions, heads of sections, and two contractors.

The Satpol PP and Mukomuko District Fire Department in 2020 purchased 1,134 uniforms for members of the linmas at the Satpol PP and Fire Department at an estimated price (HPS) of around Rp. 841 million.

This case of alleged corruption in the procurement of linmas uniforms was revealed because of the high price of uniforms for linmas members.

From the results of the survey and compiling the HPS, according to him, this activity cannot be accounted for.

The Kejari has asked for information from 26 witnesses, consisting of state and private civil servants. In fact, the institution has requested information from experts related to the alleged corruption in the procurement of uniforms for members of the linmas in this area.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office confiscated the uniforms of members of the linmas and a number of documents related to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of uniforms for members of the linmas.

Meanwhile, based on the results of an audit from the BPKP, the alleged corruption case in the procurement of linmas uniforms cost the state more than Rp329.5 million.
