34 Nightclub Managers In Bali Agree Not To Hold New Year's Eve Party

DENPASAR - A total of 34 nightclub business managers in Bali agreed not to hold a New Year's Eve party. The nightclub will tighten the implementation of health protocols for its visitors.

The Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) of Bali Province, Dewa Nyoman Rai Dharmadi, today invited 34 representatives of nightclub management in three areas, namely Badung Regency, Gianyar Regency, and Denpasar.

"We are gathered here in order to agree to put forward implementing health protocols in accordance with existing provisions. What is the time, what is the level of visitors, and there should be no excessive parties. This means that it is normal to open as usual, not in the context of special events. welcome the new year, no," said Dharmadi at the Bali Satpol PP office, Wednesday, December 8.

Dharmadi, who is also the Head of Law Enforcement and Discipline of the Bali COVID-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas), emphasized that nightclub operating hours are limited from 21.00 WITA-01.00 WITA in the morning.

"Our operating hours are asked to close around one o'clock. Because in Bali, (nightclubs) only open at nine. But visitors are also limited in accordance with provisions including the implementation of PeduliLindungi to control the number of visitors. Internal Task Force (nightclubs), we hope to formed to at least provide information to visitors to comply with health protocols," he added.

Kasatpol PP again reminded the ban on fireworks parties, bringing in artists or holding parties on New Year's Eve.

"There can be no party, there can't be fireworks. It's clear that if the name is a party, there must be excessive euphoric tendencies. We don't allow it," said Dharmadi.

If the nightclub is found violating, the Satpol PP will take firm action. Actions range from fines to the heaviest sanctions for closing nightclubs.

Meanwhile, the Operations Manager of the Ja'an nightclub in Kuta, Bobby Arafat Malik, stated that his party had agreed not to hold a party on New Year's Eve 2022.

"This Christmas-New Year, there are no party activities, it will continue to be improved for the same process as the PeduliLindung application. We can accept, we follow the rules that have been made," he said.

According to him, the capacity of the nightclub is limited to 50 percent. An internal task force was also deployed to oversee health protocols.

"We emphasize again that there is an internal COVID-19 Task Force that is asked to be even more stringent, a mobile task force and monitor existing guests for our current capacity at 50 percent. This is a positive thing, we also support what is directed by the Bali Head of Satpol PP," he said. .
