The National Police Chief Has Given 3 Tasks For Ex-KPK Employees: Supervise COVID-19 Funds And Monitor National Strategic Projects

JAKARTA - Ex-KPK employees who have joined the National Police as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) have been given their first assignment by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit. There are at least three tasks they must complete.

"The National Police Chief asked us to do three things during his speech. First, oversee the COVID-19 fund, then national strategic projects and also contribute to the national economic recovery," said Former Chairperson of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo Harahap to reporters, Monday, December 6.

Even though he has been given the task, Yudi stated that it is not yet clear which position he will occupy. However, it was emphasized that the former KPK employees would assist the Police in eradicating corruption.

"Until now, we do not know the technical details," he said.

Apart from that, Yudi thanked the National Police Chief for providing the opportunity. This is also considered a reform effort.

"We are grateful that he gave us the opportunity to be active again in eradicating corruption. It will certainly be realized and this is a reform effort carried out by him," said Yudi.

Previously, 44 former KPK employees including Novel Baswedan received an offer to become the Bhayangkara Corps State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Although, there were 8 people who were recorded as rejecting the offer.

Of the 8 people, one of them is Rasamala Aritonang. The reason for refusing to become a National Police ASN is because he has become a teacher at a university.

Then, there are also 4 people who have not made a decision. Thus, the Police gave them time to make choices.

Meanwhile, the remaining one, namely Nanang. He is said to have died last month.
