Cyber 1 Building Fires, Surabaya City Government Temporarily Diverts 112 Services

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government (Pemkot) temporarily diverted Command Center (CC) 112 services. This was due to the impact of the fire incident that occurred at the Cyber 1 Data Center Building in South Jakarta.

In addition to the interruption of Command Center (CC) 112 services throughout Indonesia, including the city of Surabaya, this incident also disrupted internet traffic.

Head of the Surabaya City Communications and Information Office (Diskominfo), M Fikser, emphasized that currently the service provider has not been able to provide an estimate of the time when services will recover. This is due to the burning cyber data center space.

"As a result, 112 services throughout Indonesia, including in Surabaya, are not connected. We are still waiting for information from the provider when services will return to normal," said Fikser in Surabaya, Friday, December 3.

However, the Surabaya City Government appealed to the public not to worry. Because, said Fikser, the city government has prepared mitigation measures to continue to provide 112 services.

"For now, we are temporarily diverting the 112 service to several social media channels belonging to the city government and the telephone number of the Command Center Post," he explained.

Fikser ensured that people who need emergency services can take advantage of several social media channels belonging to the city government as well as the telephone number of the Command Center Command Center.

"Please, the public can take advantage of some of the services we provide. Operators at the Command Center are also on standby 24 hours," said Fikser.
