Allegedly Violating Rules, Investigators Reported To Polda Metro Jaya Propam

JAKARTA - Six investigators from the Central Jakarta Metro Police were reported to the Metro Police's Profession and Security Division (Propam) for alleged violations of the investigation process.

The alleged violation was when the investigators handled a case of alleged money laundering (TPPU) with reported Johan Siwi. Where, the process of determining the suspect is carried out without an examination process.

"So, six people (investigators) are all in the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit," said Johan's attorney, Mulkan Let-Let when confirmed, Friday, December 3.

In addition, the determination of the suspect in the case based on the police report number LP/B/1671/XI/2021/SPKT/Central Jakarta Police was considered very fast. Because the investigators named Johan as a suspect only one day after the report was made.

In fact, according to Mulkan, the determination of the suspect can be done if there is already 2 pieces of evidence. For example, evidence of clues such as witness statements.

"Our client has not been summoned as the reported party or as a witness reported to provide information," said Mulkam. The complaint is registered with the number 0022/AM/SP/XI/2021.

On a different occasion, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Wisnu Whardana, who was confirmed about the case, said he could not comment much. He will first check the case handling data.
