Tangerang DPRD Honorary Board Summons Council Members Who Are Suspected Of Domestic Violence

TANGERANG - The Honorary Board of the Tangerang Regency DPRD, Banten, will summon members with the initials RGS who are suspected of being involved in cases of domestic violence (KDRT).

The chairman of the Tangerang Regency DPRD, Kholid Ismail, said that his party had now sent a summons to the members of the council.

"Just today we sent a summons to clarify, we have a BKD (Honorary Board) mechanism assigned to immediately summon the person concerned to clarify the extent of the case," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 1.

Kholid said that the summoning of its members was an act of requesting a classification for the development of the case.

"So it's not necessarily true or false being reported. So don't lead the opinion that it's been done right. If you report it, anyone can report it," he said.

However, his party has also asked the BKD to send a summons to the person concerned.

Meanwhile, based on information compiled by Antara, the member who was reported to the police for the domestic violence case is a politician from the Gerindra Party of Tangerang Regency.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Gerindra Party's Branch Leadership Council (DPC) Tangerang Regency, Astayudin responded to information on the involvement of its members.

They communicate directly with the person concerned. In the communication, it was stated that there were only ordinary disputes in the household.

"Yesterday after the news, I immediately communicated with the person concerned that there was only a dispute, so it was a normal problem in the household. So there was no domestic violence as reported to the police," he said.

However, he has not made a summons to the person concerned, but only for communication.

"Not yet, but we have communicated with the person concerned. When I found out about the incident, I immediately communicated. So the answer is that in a household, a dispute is common, but there is no violence. It's done, it's been resolved," he said.

Previously reported, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, AKBP Shinto Silitonga confirmed the reports and handling of cases handled by the Tangerang Police regarding the alleged act of domestic violence (KDRT) by an unscrupulous member of the Tangerang Regency DPRD.

"It's true, there is a case that is being handled by the Tangerang Police," said Shinto via a short message received in Tangerang, Tuesday, November 30.

He explained that after the report was made, the status of the case was currently in the process of being investigated.

"It's under investigation," he said.
