Following PDIP And Nasdem, Democrats Submit Management List To KPU

JAKARTA - The Democratic Party's Central Executive Board (DPP) submitted a list of regional management at the provincial and district / city levels that participated in the 2020 Pilkada contest.

A week earlier, the Democrats had already started submitting the list of the management of the DPP, DPD, and DPC that took part in the regional elections, but at that time the list was incomplete and only completed today.

"We represent the General Chair of the Democratic Party, Pak Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, to provide all documents related to the management of the DPP, DPD and DPC documents in Indonesia following the regional elections," said Secretary General of the Democratic Party Teuku Rifky at the KPU RI Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 11.

In submitting party management documents, Teuku was accompanied by the General Treasurer, the Executive Director, the Deputy Executive Director, and a member of the Democratic Faction of the DPR RI, Wahyu Sanjaya.

Teuku said that the latest data on the Democratic Party's management had also been uploaded 100 percent to the KPU's political party information system (Sipol).

Teuku hopes that the openness of data in the political and political sector can help and increase cooperation between the Democratic Party and the election organizers.

"We have uploaded 100 percent of the required data at Sipol, and we will continue to cooperate with the KPU. We are ready to facilitate communication in due course," he said.

Teuku said that his party understands that the 2020 Pilkada is the implementation of a democratic process that is heavier than the previous election because it was held when the COVID-19 outbreak hit the world and Indonesia.

"This is to pray for KPU officers throughout Indonesia to be given health and to carry out the COVID-19 protocol, as well as to provide examples and socialization of new election policies in the pandemic era," he explained.

Continuing, the Chairperson of the Indonesian KPU, Arief Budiman, appreciated the visit of the Democratic Party DPP directly to submit a list of party management at the regional level.

"Hopefully this data, later on, on the 4th to 6th (September) can be used to process the registration of candidate pairs for the KPU," said Arief.

To date, there have been 3 political parties participating in the 2020 Pilkada that have submitted management documents. Among them are PDI Perjuangan, Nasdem, and Democrats.
