SAMARINDA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno directly appointed and congratulated the 21 regencies/cities that were selected as the 2021 Indonesian Creative Words in Samarinda.
"This determination is expected to encourage regencies/cities and others to develop the creative economy in their respective regions," said Sandiaga in Samarinda, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 30.
Sandiaga explained, KaTa, which stands for Creative Regency and City, is a collaboration program between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the local government to encourage MSME actors to innovate to restore the tourism sector and the creative economy (parekraf) so that new business opportunities and jobs can be created for the community.
Sandi also encouraged the City of Samarinda to actively participate in the Creative Regency/City Assessment Test activities in the coming year.
"We see Samarinda as one of the cities with the highest economic growth rate, exceeding the national growth rate," he explained.
