ABG Conspiracy Arrested For Stealing Dozens Of LPG Gas Cylinders In Gianyar Bali

GIANYAR - The Gianyar Police Team, Bali, arrested a gang of thieves who stole dozens of LPG gas cylinders in Ubud. There were 6 perpetrators, all of whom were teenagers or ABGs.

The perpetrators of the theft of LPG gas cylinders had the initials IGS (15), IKS (17), IGNW (14), SAD (15), IGMW (14) and PAP (21).

"We have managed to arrest six people suspected of stealing 40 three-kilogram LPG canisters. Among them, four of the alleged perpetrators are minors and students," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gianyar Police, AKP Laorens Rajamangapul Heselo, Tuesday, November 30.

The perpetrators were arrested after the police received a citizen report. The police conducted an investigation and found out the chronology of the theft by the perpetrator by destroying a gas cylinder storage area made of iron.

"The perpetrator was arrested with evidence of a gas cylinder and a black Avanza car, number DK 1745 UT," continued AKP Laorens.

During interrogation, the perpetrators admitted to stealing 40 gas cylinders at the Manik Sedana Shop, Jalan Raya Sayan, Ubud. The perpetrators also stole 21 gas cylinders at the Yadnya Sari Jalam Shop, Suweta Ubud, Gianyar Regency.

From the results of the theft, the perpetrators sold LPG gas cylinders for Rp. 85,000 per cylinder. Sales money is used for daily needs.

"It is suspected that the perpetrators have stolen approximately 40 LPG cylinders at several crime scenes (the crime scene). Other evidence is still being investigated," said AKP Laorens.
