Temianus Magayang Group KKB Allegedly Using Village Funds For Operations, This Is The Papuan Police's Step

JAYAPURA - Investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes at the Papua Police are investigating the alleged use of village funds (kampung) for the operations of armed criminal groups (KKB), particularly the Temianus Magayang group in Yahukimo Regency.

"Temianus Magayang (25) is the head of Sesepne Village, Kelamdua District, Yahukimo Regency," said Director of General Crimes at the Papua Police, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, in Jayapura, Monday, November 29.

He said Temianus, who is currently still being treated at the Bhayangkara Jayapura Hospital due to the gunshot wound he suffered, could not be questioned.

Later, after the doctor declared he was healthy, he said, an examination would be carried out, including exploring whether the village (kampung) funds were used for KKB operations.

In addition to serving as village head, he said, Temianus Magayang at KKB served as Operation Commander for Kodap 17 Kali Bele in KKB.

Temianus Magayang is a KKB from the Yahukimo group with the late Senate Soll and Erik Pahabol under the Commander of Kodap 16 Elkius Kobak who is associated with the Nduga KKB, namely Wendanak and Tendius Gwijangge who for the past two years have carried out security disturbances in Yahukimo Regency.

There are four police reports that were suspected of Tendius including his involvement in the murder of KPU staff Yahukimo Hendrik Jovinski, on 11 August 2020.
