Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the BPBD Malang Regency, Sadono Irawan, said the landslide occurred during heavy rains, Sunday, November 28.

At that time, the victim was working on the land with his wife and other farmers. When it rained heavily, his wife and other farmers chose to pull over.

"But the victim didn't. He continued to work until the cliffs around the location suddenly collapsed," Sadono told reporters, Monday, November 29.

The search for victims buried by landslides is carried out by volunteers and BPBD officers.

“Because the terrain of the location cannot be reached by motorized vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled. We will have to do the evacuation manually," said Sadono.

This afternoon, the joint team found that the victim was dead buried under a landslide. The victim's body was found at 12.04 WIB, not far from the landslide location, about a radius of 2-3 meters.
