Head Of BKN: ASN Desperate To Leave Then Infected And Create Clusters, Serious Violations Danger The State!

JAKARTA - Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Bima Haria Wibisana emphasized that state civil servants (ASN) must cancel their leave during the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year holidays.

"For ASN who have long intended to take year-end leave, let alone a vacation, cancel it immediately!" he said when met after being a resource for basic training for prospective civil servants at the East Java Province Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) building in Surabaya, Saturday, November 27.

Moreover, he said, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo had issued a regulation regarding the ban on leave at the end of this year.

The policy is contained in the Circular Letter of the Minister of PAN-RB Number 26/2021 concerning Restrictions on Traveling Outside the Region and/or Leave for ASN Employees During the 2021 Christmas and New Year 2022 Period During the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic Period.

The regulation was made as a follow-up to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 62/2021 regarding the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 at Christmas in 2021 and New Year in 2022.

Then, based on the SE Minister of PANRB Number 13/2021, restrictions on leave and traveling outside the region for ASN have also been regulated, namely it is forbidden to take leave and travel outside the region on the same week as a national holiday, both before and after, which means it falls since December 20, 2021.

The prohibition is excluded for ASN on maternity leave and sick leave for PNS and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK).

"Of course there are dispensations in emergencies, such as illness or childbirth," he said.

He also reminded ASN who are desperate to take leave and travel outside the city will receive sanctions due to the violations they have made.

"If an ASN is reckless, and then comes home being infected with COVID-19, causing a cluster in the neighborhood where they live, then this is a serious violation because it endangers the country. The sanctions are of course also severe," he said as quoted by Antara.

"Please be patient and not euphoric just yet. There is no need for the end of the year to flock to a place and stay at home. This is all for the common good," said Bima Haria.
