Mayor Bima Arya: Moving The Capital City Of Bogor To The Ex-BLBI Land As A Result Of Mapping

BOGOR - Mayor of Bogor, West Java, Bima Arya Sugiarto revealed that the relocation of the capital city of Bogor to the former Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) grant from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) is the result of mapping future spatial needs.

According to Bima Arya, for a long time the current spatial conditions are not in accordance with future Bogor City planning.

"So there must be redistribution to the side, because if everything stays in the middle of the burden, it will be severe here," Bima told reporters at Bogor City Hall, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 25.

Bima Arya explained that in building a city, it means preparing for the future, so that one thing that must be anticipated is the limited land for public services, settlements and the mobility of citizens which must be controlled so that it is spread not only in the city center.

Then, there is a land mapping that can be submitted for submission to the Bogor City Government from the former BLBI land which was recently handed over by the Ministry of Finance as a grant.

Previously, the Chairperson of the Task Force for Handling State Claims for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) Mahfud MD, during a press conference in Jakarta, recently, said that he would donate assets resulting from debt payments of BLBI debtors/obligors worth Rp492 billion to the City Government. Bogor and seven ministries/agencies on Thursday (25/11).

The land area is 10.2 hectares, 6 hectares in Katulampa Village, East Bogor District, to build a new government center including moving the Bogor City Hall by presenting an integrated service center in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, it is 3.2 hectares in Empang Village, South Bogor District and 1 hectare around the Regional Ring Road (R3) development project.

Bima Arya said that the use of these lands would be discussed with the Bogor City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) to discuss the planning and budget allocation.

The Bogor City Government and DPRD are planning to start budgeting for the construction of the new government center in 2022 and the implementation of the construction project in 2023.

"But for the land in Katulampa covering an area of 6 hectares, it is planned to build a government center," he said.
