Normalization Of Sunter River, DKI Frees 34 Lands

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service has freed 34 plots of land in the Cipinang Melayu area, Makasar, East Jakarta, for the Sunter River normalization program.

The head of Cipinang Melayu village, Aroyantoro, said that the 34 plots of land are located in the RW 04 area, which often becomes flooded during the rainy season.

"There are 34 of the total 42 parcels of land that have been acquired in RW 04," said Aroyantoro, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 24.

Aroyantoro added that the areas affected by land acquisition for the Kali Sunter normalization program are located in RW 03 and 04, Cipinang Melayu Village.

"The number of plots of land acquired in RW 03 is still in the process of being measured. We will wait for the local government," said Aroyantoro.

He said the land acquisition process for the normalization of the Sunter River in RW 03 is still ongoing. Currently in the stage of collecting files and recalculation of the area.

"Later according to the route," said Aroyantoro.

The East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) plans to accelerate land acquisition at a number of points on the banks of the Sunter River and Ciliwung River.

A number of riverbank areas where land acquisition is planned to be carried out are in Cipinang Muara, Cipinang Melayu and Pondok Bambu Villages.

Aroyantoro has not detailed the budget prepared by the DKI Provincial Government for the normalization of the Sunter River, including for land acquisition.
