Get Kejari Assistance, Bintan Regency Government Gets IDR 44 Billion From Tax Arrears

BINTAN - The District Attorney (Kejari) of Bintan was asked for assistance from the local district government to collect tax arrears. The request is submitted in the form of a special power of attorney.

Head of the Bintan Kejari I Wayan Riana said, after receiving the mandate, his party immediately started working. Namely by calling the taxpayer.

"After obtaining a special power of attorney, the Kejari will summon taxpayers for mediation with the Bapenda of the Bintan Regency Government," Wayan said in a short message, Tuesday, November 23.

Wayan said, after holding several meetings for mediation, the taxpayers finally paid their obligations. Even so far, IDR 44 billion has been collected.

"After several summons, there was fulfillment of tax obligations from taxpayers who were in arrears," said Wayan, who is also a former KPK prosecutor. That is, the tax arrears only pay the tax principal without paying a fine.

However, unfortunately Wayan could not specify who the tax arrears were. "We can't convey that," said Wayan.

On this occasion Wayan appealed to tax arrears to immediately carry out their obligations. This is because the whitening of the tax fines imposed by the Bintan Regional Government until November 30, 2021.

Wayan said, if the taxpayers do not want to carry out their obligations, then his party opens the opportunity to bring it to the realm of law.

"There is an alternative to a civil lawsuit and we are exploring the possibility of constructing it to the Corruption Eradication Commission," he said.
