Blusukan, Gibran Distributes 120 Food Packages To The Community

JAKARTA - Gibran Rakabuming Raka returned to blusukan to meet residents. This time he visited the residents of RT 4 RW 17 Ngipang Kadipiro, Banjarsari District, Solo.

In his blusukan, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowoi) brought 120 basic food packages which were distributed to the local community.

Gibran came to greet the people in Kadipiro, who was disciplined by wearing a mask and sitting on a chair with a distance to apply health protocols.

Gibran had had a dialogue with local residents before handing over the basic food packages to the chairman of RW Sukasno to be continued with residents who had not received basic food assistance from the government.

According to the Chairman of RW Sukasno, his party, on behalf of the residents of RW 17, thanked Gibran for visiting Ngipang village.

"120 packages of groceries from Mas Gibran will be given to residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and who have not received any assistance from the government," said Sukasno as quoted by Antara, Friday, August 7.

Gibran on the opportunity to meet with local residents also gave notebooks and milk to children living around the village. Gibran also visited a resident who was suffering from stroke and diabetes, Suparjo (60) in the same village.

"I hope that this basic food package assistance can alleviate community residents affected by COVID-19," said Gibran.

In fact, the head of RT Mugiman asked Gibran to review the condition of the Pleret River in Ngipang village which needed attention due to the impact of plastic waste, pig manure, textiles and waste from tofu and tempe factories.

According to Mugiman, the Pleret River has remained like this for five years. The local people feel uncomfortable with the smell. This problem has reached the Province, but until now it has not been resolved.

Gibran then asked the team to document the state of the river and make it a separate record. This smelly river, wants to be coordinated with the Central Java Provincial Government.
