Police In West Kalimantan Examined The Case Of Jalan Djoko Tjandra's Letter

JAKARTA - The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit investigated a member of the Supadio Airport Police, Pontianak, West Kalimantan with the initials J in the case of the issuance of a road letter in the name of Djoko Tjandra. J was questioned because he was suspected of having a role in managing the arrival of Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo and Djoko Tjandra while on the run.

Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that an examination of a police officer with the rank of Inspector One (Iptu) was carried out to ensure whether or not he was involved in the case. Investigators will ask for information about Iptu J's knowledge regarding Djoko Tjandra's fugitive status.

"As long as the person concerned is not included in the elements of the article, he will come back from the results of the investigation. What role is concerned, limited to being a witness or helping, we see that this is the prerogative of the investigator," Awi told reporters, Friday, August 7.

However, based on temporary information, Iptu J is indeed in charge of regulating the protocol for the arrival of Polri officials at Supadio Airport in Pontianak. However, at that time Iptu J, according to Awi, did not know if Djoko Tjandra was joining the Police General, allegedly Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo.

Meanwhile, Djoko Tjandra used a travel letter issued by Brigadier General Prasetyo with the number: SJ / 82 / VI / 2020 / Rokorwas, on 18 June 2020. Djoko Tjandra departed from Jakarta to Pontianak, West Kalimantan on 19 June and returned on 22 June.
