DKI MUI Judged That There Is No Need To Be Fussy About Defending Anies When Attacked By Buzzers

JAKARTA - The public is busy discussing the plan of the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to form a cyber team to defend the ulama and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who was attacked by buzzers on social media.

By mentioning Anies' name as a figure who needs to be "fortified" from hoax attacks on digital platforms, this implies the Jakarta MUI's political stance.

MUI is a religious institution. A political observer from Al Azhar University, Ujang Komarudin, believes that the DKI Jakarta MUI does not need to participate in defending Anies if he is attacked by a buzzer.

"It's not good if the DKI Jakarta MUI is fussy about Anies who is being attacked by buzzers. The DKI Jakarta MUI doesn't have to interfere in Anies' affairs, later the DKI Jakarta MUI will be accused of playing politics," Ujang said when contacted, Monday, November 22.

If regional heads, especially in the capital city, receive accusations or attacks from certain parties, Ujang said it was Anies' own business. It was Anies and his team who had to clarify without involving help from other parties.

"It shouldn't have been the MUI DKI Jakarta that created a cyber army. But only the Anies team. The MUI doesn't need to defend Anies either. Let Anies' own troops defend Anies," said Ujang. Information and Communication (Infokom) held a Coordination Meeting for the Information and Communications Sector throughout DKI Jakarta.

One of the decisions of the coordination meeting was to conduct a massive defense of the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan when he was attacked by a hoax by a buzzer.

At that time, the General Chair of the DKI Jakarta MUI KH Munahar Muchtar Munahar also hoped that Infokom and the DKI MUI extended family would be able to defend and assist the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Rasyid Baswedan, who has worked hard for the people of the capital.

If the buzzers look for Anies' mistakes, Infokom is asked to immediately play the narrative of Anies' success, both nationally and internationally.

"He is one of the 21 heroes of the world. For the news, I asked the DKI MUI to appoint it because we are partners with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government,” said Munahar.

After much discussion, Munahar emphasized that the cyber team he formed would only help Anies. Other Jakarta clerics deemed to be performing well and then being attacked by buzzers will also be defended.

"Is it only for Mr. Anies? No. If there is a Jakarta figure, he acts for the citizens of Jakarta, then the benefit is good for the citizens of Jakarta, MUI is ready to support and support and cooperate," said Munahar.
