SERANG - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Cipocok Jaya Police, Serang City Police, Banten Police managed to uncover the theft of a motorized vehicle (Curanmor) that occurred in front of the Banjarsari Environmental Government RSS Complex, Cipocok Jaya District, Serang City.

The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Cipocok Jaya Police, Ipda Irwan Nova, said that personnel arrested the perpetrator ED alias OR (28), a resident of Curug District, Serang City, on the basis of report number 196 of the Cipocok Jaya Police on Wednesday, November 17.

The victim is in the name of Soleh, a resident of Miyabon Village, Cipocok Jaya District. Initially the victim arrived at the photocopying service and parked his motorbike with the key still hanging on the motorcycle contact. Three minutes passed, the victim's motorbike, a black Scoopy type with number A-6971-CU, was taken away by the perpetrators to the Curug area.

"For this incident, the victim suffered a loss of around Rp. 18 million and the victim reported the crime of theft to the Cipocok Jaya Police," said Irwan Nova, Saturday, November 20.

From the results of the investigation, information was obtained about the whereabouts of the perpetrators who live in the Curug District area.

"Cipocok Jaya Police Criminal Investigation personnel moved quickly to the location suspected to be the residence of the perpetrator of the crime of motor vehicle theft," he said.

Then at around 12.30 WIB when they arrived at the location, officers immediately carried out raids, searches and arrested the alleged perpetrators. When arrested, the perpetrator actively resisted so that decisive action was taken.

"The evidence was secured in the form of a black Scoopy motorcycle with police number A-6971-CU, for his actions the perpetrator was charged with the crime of theft with a threat of imprisonment for 5 years," he concluded.
