Ashadi said his party continues to monitor the development of flooding in Indra Makmur District and several other points that have the potential for flooding.

"We are on standby at the disaster post. We have also coordinated with the Social Service regarding the distribution of aid if at any time there is a wave of refugees," said Ashadi.

The Regional Secretary for East Aceh Regency, Mahyuddin, appealed to the public to be aware of the potential for flooding after the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) declared that East Aceh Regency was entering the rainy season.

"Given that East Aceh is now entering the rainy season, it is necessary to anticipate early and be alert and respond to disasters that can occur at any time," said Mahyuddin.
