Anies: Three Spanish Football Clubs Try JIS

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said three international soccer clubs from Spain, namely Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona, will try out the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) field in the 2021 International Youth Championship (IYC) final match.

"Tomorrow's match will be attended by international clubs and one Indonesian club Selection All Stars U-20," said Anies Baswedan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 18.

This event consists of four clubs, namely Real Madrid U-18, Atletico Madrid U-18, Barcelona U-18, and Indonesia Selection U-20 who competed in the final at JIS, December 11, 2021, also marking the initial launch or soft launching of the stadium. the pride of the citizens of Jakarta.

Before competing in the final, the four clubs first underwent a preliminary round at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar Regency, Bali, 4-8 December 2021.

“We hope that this IYC activity can run well. We in DKI will fully support and we are ready to welcome on December 9 when the contingent arrives in Jakarta," Anies added.

Anies also hopes that the international standard JIS will produce young international football players.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Jakara Propertindo Widi Amanasto added that on December 11, 2021, JIS construction is estimated to reach 85 percent.

Although not yet 100 percent completed, he made sure the field facilities and tournament supporters were ready.

"The availability of facilities, hospitality, and how they can view the match comfortably will be at JIS," he said.
