Korlantas Polri Ensures Security Preparedness Ahead Of WSBK In Lombok

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police has ensured security readiness ahead of the 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) race at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakkum) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Aan Suhanan confirmed this after checking security posts in the Lombok Region, NTB.

"This check is specifically related to traffic and parking routes (rolakir), escorts and parking lots. We want to ensure that personnel are ready, there are SOPs that have been implemented," explained Aan in a written statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, 18 November.

Aan explained that his party had prepared a traffic engineering scheme which would later be implemented. In addition, Aan also talked about the security posts in every police station in the NTB area.

"There are fixed posts, there are also posts built in accordance with Police Hazard (PH2). So where there are points of vulnerability, there we build police posts," Aan emphasized. The security post was made fun of with the nuances of WSBK and MotoGP in order to enliven the atmosphere. Aan also appealed to the public to follow the existing rules.

"This is an international event, of course it will bring a good name than Indonesia, especially NTB, Lombok. If the impression of our guests is good, be it in terms of traffic, security, and so on, this will have a positive impact on us," said Aan .

One of the security posts visited by the Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri is on Jalan Bypass-BIL Mandalika, Pujut, Central Lombok. He was seen interacting with the police personnel who were on guard.

At the same time, Brigadier General Aan also met with the Head of the National Police, Komjen Pol Arief Sulistyanto and the NTB Police Chief Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal.
