JAKARTA - Three predators of minors with the initials MA (19), TM (22) and MY (29) were secured by the Serang Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The three perpetrators had previously become the target of the masses who were annoyed with their actions.

"Previously these perpetrators were secured by residents, to avoid the residents' anger, the perpetrators were brought by Satreskrim members to the Serang Police Station," said Serang Police Chief AKBP Yudha Satria to reporters, Thursday 18 November.

The three perpetrators were found to have committed obscene acts against a young victim. The police chief said that from the confessions of the perpetrators, they had committed obscene acts and sexual intercourse with minors.

"They admit what they did," he said.

The incident began when the victim's family and dozens of people searched for the whereabouts of the victim who did not return home for two days and two nights.

"So as long as he doesn't go home, it turns out that the victim is with the perpetrator," he said.

The three perpetrators had committed obscene acts against the victim. Luckily, the three suspects were caught by the police. Until now the three have been languishing in the detention cell of the Serang Police.

The three perpetrators were charged with Article 81 Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 82 Paragraph (1) of Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.

"We ask parents to be even more extra in looking after their children and to carry out strict supervision when using cell phones," he said.
