The Rp5.3 Billion Budget Cannot Be Accounted For, The Secretary Of The Ambon City DPRD Is Being Investigated By The Prosecutor

AMBON - The secretary of the Ambon City DPRD together with four of his staff was questioned by the local state attorney's office (kejari). They were examined regarding the 2020 DPRD secretariat budget of Rp. 5.3 billion which was found by the BPK RI Representatives of the Maluku Province.

"Today, four staff of the Ambon City DPRD Secretariat along with the Secretary of State with the initials SD met the prosecutor's summons for questioning by the investigative team," said Ambon's Chief Prosecutor, Dian Fris Nalle, in Ambon, as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 18.

Meanwhile, four staff at the Ambon City DPRD Secretariat who had been present since the morning at the Ambon Kejari Office each had the initials JP, MP, SS, and LS.

SS is the Treasurer of the DPRD Secretariat, then JP is the Head of Supervision and Budgeting, while MPK is the Head of Administration, and LS is the Head of the Legislation Section of the Ambon City DPRD Secretariat.

According to Kajari, previously it was scheduled to summon and examine a number of ASN at the Ambon City DPRD Secretariat since this Thursday, and it would be continued the next day.

He stated that because the Secretary of the Secretariat and four of his staff had been summoned today, on Friday, November 19, it would also be continued by summoning six ASNs for a request for information by the prosecutor.

Previously, BPK RI Representatives of Maluku Province found that there was a budget of Rp5.3 billion for the 2020 fiscal year within the Ambon City DPRD Secretariat that could not be accounted for. Then the prosecutor's investigation process began on Monday, November 15, and continues today by asking for statements from five witnesses.

In addition to the findings of the BPK RI Representatives of Maluku Province who conducted the audit, the investigation of this case is also a follow-up to the prosecutor's office on the mass media reports.

Then the Ambon District Attorney made a study of this case and decided to form an investigation team to examine the witnesses.
