BOGOR - An IPB University student was found dead at the Cikabayan Experimental Garden, Dramaga Campus, allegedly due to being bitten by a venomous snake.
Deputy Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs IPB University, Drajat Martianto in a written statement said the victim was found dead.
After receiving the report, the IPB campus and the Dramaga sector police immediately took the victim to the Ciawi Hospital for an autopsy.
Drajat Martianto expressed his concern over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims.
"Innalillahi wa innailaihi roojiuun. May the deeds of worship of the deceased be accepted by Allah SWT and get the best place by His side. Hopefully, the family will be given patience in dealing with this disaster," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 17.
Drajat said students who were conducting research and practicum in the field were expected to be more careful and apply occupational safety and health (K3) by using adequate safety equipment.
