Basarnas Deploys BSG Personnel To Support WBSK Mandalika

BADUNG - A total of 180 Basarnas personnel will be deployed, including Basarnas Special Group (BSG) personnel to support the World Superbike (WSBK) event at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

"There are 180 personnel from the center, we even sent down the BSG to support this activity. This is an international event, this is our prestige," said Head of Basarnas Marshal TNI Henri Alfiandi after giving a briefing to Basarnas Bali in Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, Wednesday, November 17 .

In addition to personnel, helicopters and the Basarnas support fleet were also brought to support the WSBK event. Henri called this event an important moment for Indonesia, which now has an international circuit.

"We have to be ready and provide a sense of security, comfort, for the athletes or racers and their teams, that's what we have to highlight. In my opinion, that's first. Besides that, it also provides a sense of comfort for visitors. If there is SAR, we are there and they know that Indonesia exists, the government exists," he added.

It is planned that Kabasarnas will visit the Mandalika Circuit, Thursday, November 18 tomorrow. From here, the question of support from Basarnas will be mapped out.

"So that I can immediately give instructions and for the next year to make an evaluation so that we are really ready for the international (racing) event," he said.
