JAKARTA - For commuters, it is not strange that there is a severe traffic jam every morning along the Lenteng Agung route to Pasar Minggu. But after the bottleneck at the IISIP campus horseshoe flyover, the vehicle speed can be driven a bit faster.

But not this morning, Wednesday 17 November.

Motorcycles and cars started having to line up in front of Pancasila University. The motorbike is still good because it can weave around looking for gaps even though it still can't boost the vehicle past 30 km/hour.

Every morning, this is a normal condition for commuters who often use the Lenteng Agung route as the main access to try their luck in Jakarta.

But usually, after the Horseshoe Flyover in front of the IISIP campus, the road will be smooth. The Horseshoe Flyover has indeed become a traffic jam because the road access suddenly shrinks.

This morning, things weren't the same.

After the Horseshoe Flyover, the roads are the same, jammed. Even worse. It takes 5 minutes to reach the Tanjung Barat Station area.

The reason is the work on the asphalt project which was carried out early in the morning. Yes, when commuters are competing for time so they won't be late, there is a project that makes the trip hampered.
