Admits He Was Beaten When People With Disabilities In Trouble Entered Puri Gedeh, Ganjar: I Was Stupid

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo admitted that he was devastated when his official residence, Puri Gedeh, was visited by people with disabilities.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I was really hit when I received friends with disabilities into my official residence," said Ganjar during the Gender Responsive Budgeting Planning ToT, as seen on Ganjar's Twitter account, Monday 15 November.

The condition of the Central Java governor's official residence is not yet friendly for people with disabilities. There is no special path, but using stairs.

"So you can't go up," Ganjar continued.

With satire, Ganjar saw several people lifting wheelchairs so they could enter the official residence.

"But I felt slapped at the time," he said.

At that moment, after the meeting was over, Ganjar called his staff to come. He asked that a special lane for people with disabilities be made immediately.

"Otherwise I will pay for it myself," he continued.

"Thank God, the next morning it was immediately made and the angle was sharp," complained Ganjar.

But Ganjar admits that it was his fault. Ganjar admitted that he was not aware of this. He was lucky that the moment was used as a personal evaluation if Ganjar had to be more aware of the problems of people with disabilities.

"So who is the stupid one? The governor. I said I was the stupid one and I didn't understand that," he said.
