2 Students In Aceh Jaya Get Umrah Tickets From The Aceh Police Vaccination Outlet

BANDA ACEH - Two students from Aceh Jaya Regency, Siti Nirwana Ade Wita (17), a student of SMA Negeri 1 Calang and Mahda Riska Fahira (14), a student of MTsN 2 Aceh Jaya, won the Umrah ticket from the vaccination booth organized by the Aceh Police.

"I feel happy to be able to get a free Umrah gift, thanks to the Aceh Police Chief," said Siti Nirwana, in Aceh Jaya, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 12.

Siti also invited the whole community to vaccinate against COVID-19 as a form of effort to avoid COVID-19 and build immunity.

The Aceh Jaya Police Chief, AKBP Harlan Amir, said that the purpose of giving the Umrah gift was to encourage people who had carried out vaccinations and efforts to boost vaccination achievements throughout Aceh Province.

"Out of ten Umrah gift packages, two Aceh Jaya residents received free Umrah packages from the Aceh Police vaccination booth. One from Jaya District and one from Krueng Sabee District. Both are students," said Aceh Jaya Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Harlan Amir after handing over the Umrah gift vouchers at in front of the Calang tsunami memorial park.

He added that this kind of gift could boost vaccinations and increase people's enthusiasm to vaccinate against COVID-19.

"Vaccines are very useful for herd immunity in carrying out daily activities in the midst of a pandemic," he said.

For phase II, said the Head of the Police, the Aceh Regional Police will carry out COVID-19 vaccination booths from November 10-30, 2021 throughout Aceh Province with 30 free Umrah packages as prizes.

The draw will be carried out randomly on November 30, 2021 and can be watched live via live streaming on the Instagram account @bidhumaspoldaaceh.

Currently, the interest of the people in Aceh Jaya Regency to vaccinate continues to increase.

"People's interest here continues to increase, but we are constrained by limited distribution of vaccine drugs. However, we have coordinated with the provincial authorities to be able to meet our needs in Aceh Jaya," he said.

The police chief targets that the implementation of vaccination in Aceh Jaya can reach 70 percent by the end of December 2021 so that it can form group immunity.

"We updated yesterday that the vaccination achievement in Aceh Jaya has reached 34.1 percent for the first dose, 27 percent for the second dose." he said
