BADUNG - The Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft operated by Dimonim Air experienced a tire burst incident at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

The aircraft with flight number PK-HVX is a charter medical flight that carries five passengers consisting of two pilots, two technicians and one health worker on the Kupang-Denpasar route.

As a result of the incident, the manager of Ngurah Rai Airport immediately closed the runway until 18:43 WITA.

"The closure was carried out for the transfer of the plane. The position of the tire burst when the plane had landed and headed for the taxi way to park," he said.

Taufan Yudhistira explained that the closure of Ngurah Rai Airport for 1 hour 9 minutes because of the incident resulted in as many as eight flights being affected.

The eight flights consist of three flights that will land and five flights that will take off from Ngurah Rai Airport.

"As a result of this incident, eight flights were delayed. Of the three flights that would arrive, one flight landed at another airport, the other two still landed at Ngurah Rai Airport but their schedule was postponed," he said.

After the runway closed or the runway was closed for 69 minutes until 18:43 WITA, currently the flight service operations at Ngurah Rai Airport have returned to normal.

"This incident did not cause damage to the Ngurah Rai Airport runway, after the aircraft was successfully withdrawn, Ngurah Rai Airport was immediately operating normally again," said Taufan Yudhistira.
