JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, appealed to motorists and other road users to avoid Jalan Basuki Rachmat, East Jakarta.

This is because, said Syafrin, currently work is being carried out on the Becakayu toll ramp at that location.

"Road users are advised to avoid the Jalan Basuki Rachmat section and be able to adjust the traffic arrangements set," said Syafrin in his statement, Wednesday, November 10.

The work location on Jalan Basuki Rachmat was carried out after the underpass of Pasar Gembrong from Kampung Melayu to Pondok Kopi.

The type of work is the demolition of the underpass wall for the construction of Becakayu toll road access. Working time from 10 November to 29 December 2021.

"During the work, the traffic from Kampung Melayu to Pondok Kopi was reduced by 1.5 meters along the work area," said Syafrin.

The party responsible for the safety and security of road users in this work is PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk. as the executor of the Becakayu Toll on ramp work.

Furthermore, Syafrin also appealed to the public not to carry out unnecessary mobility, except for urgent ones.

"Comply with traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field, and prioritize road safety," he added.
