JAKARTA - Grab Indonesia denied that its partners were involved in the terrorist act of throwing suspected explosives in front of the house of activist Veronica Koman's parents.

"We have also searched for the police number for the two-wheeled vehicle that was caught on CCTV and the number is not registered in our driver-partner database," said Grab Indonesia spokesperson Dewi Nuraini when confirmed in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

Previously, CCTV camera footage showed that two perpetrators were riding motorbikes using Grab jackets and throwing suspicious items into the victim's fence.

West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Joko Dwi Harsono, stated that two unidentified people threw suspicious objects and then exploded in front of the house of activist Veronica Koman's parents.

"The two perpetrators of throwing the object which then exploded were identified from the CCTV camera inspection to terrorize the family of activist Veronica Koman," said Joko Dwi Harsono, when confirmed, Monday.

Joko explained that one of the perpetrators wore an online motorcycle taxi jacket when throwing foreign objects at Veronica Koman's parents' house in Grogol Petamburan.

"The two people went to the victim's house using a motorbike, on Sunday, November 7 morning. Arriving in front of the victim's house, the two people then threw objects into the fence of the house which then exploded," he said.

Joko added that when he heard a loud explosion in front of his house, the owner of the house immediately called the West Jakarta Metro Police to report the incident.

At the crime scene, the police found evidence in the form of pieces of paper, plastic with red paint marks and wires suspected to have come from an exploding object.

The police also had time to examine several witnesses around the location of the house to obtain more detailed information.

Joko has not been able to reveal, who is behind the terrorist acts of the explosion.

Currently, his party is still waiting for the results from the Forensic Laboratory Center of the National Police Headquarters regarding the examination of exploding items found at the crime scene.

"This is still being worked on by Puslabfor regarding what materials are used as explosives. Later when it comes out we will 'update'," he said.
