Be Careful, BMKG Predicts A Number Of Areas Will Rain Accompanied By Lightning

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts a number of regions in Indonesia have the potential to experience rain accompanied by lightning and thunder on Saturday, November 6.

Based on information quoted by ANTARA through the www.bmkg.go.id page in Jakarta, Saturday, the areas predicted to experience thunderstorms are Denpasar, Bengkulu, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, and Kupang.

In the areas of Surabaya, Makassar, Manado and Padang, the BMKG predicts the potential for moderate-intensity rain.

Furthermore, the BMKG said that for areas, such as Serang, DI Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, Gorontalo, Bandung, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Bandari Lampung, Ambon, Ternate, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, Palembang, and Medan will experience rain with light intensity.

Cloudy weather is forecasted in several areas, such as Banda Aceh, Jambi, Jayapura and Mamuju. Meanwhile, thick cloudy weather will be experienced by Semarang.

According to the BMKG, the temperature range in these cities is on a scale of 22 to 35 degrees Celsius and the humidity percentage will reach 55 to 100 percent.
