JAKARTA - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of the Thousand Islands is preparing the district dock area and the eastern pier of Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Village, North Thousand Islands, as a new sunrise and sunset beach tour (sunrise and sunset).

The regent of the Thousand Islands, Junaedi said, the district pier and the east pier of Pramuka Island are in the process of being explored and arranged by the local sub-district so that they can become new tourist sites in the Thousand Islands.

"For the new spot at the regency dock, we will make it a Sunset tour, while the east dock is for Sunrise tourism," Junaedi said while reviewing the arrangement of the tourist area on Pramuka Island, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 4.

According to Junaedi, the sunset tourist area can be a place for tourists to take selfies while enjoying the waves on the beach while waiting for the sun to set.

While the sunrise tourist area, visitors can enjoy water sports such as diving and snorkeling because the waves are gentler, as well as watching the process of the rising of the sun.

"It is hoped that the existence of two new spots on Pramuka Island can improve the residents' economy. The new spots are not only on Pramuka Island," said Junaedi.

It is known, Pramuka Island has a location close to three other tourist islands such as Panggang Island, Tidung Island and Karya Island.

The proximity of the four islands can provide easy access and alternative vacations for tourists visiting the Thousand Islands.

Therefore, since July 2019, the Thousand Islands Government has continued to spur the development of marine tourism areas by focusing on the four islands.

The main foundation of tourism development there is marine attractions, such as snorkeling. As for the event, you can adopt local culture, especially on Panggang Island which has the Babang Pulang Festival.

Meanwhile, regarding the problem of waste, especially plastic waste that destroys the beauty of tourism in the Thousand Islands, the handling is directly carried out by the Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP) of the Thousand Islands Environmental Service, assisted by a fleet of garbage transporting ships and motorized carts.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also implemented rules for tourists not to bring bottled drinking water and prefer to use tumbler bottles that can be used repeatedly.
