JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate allegations of a fee request made by the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono.

This was done by examining a witness, namely Hana Pur Dwiatmoko, who is an entrepreneur on Wednesday, November 3.

"Located at the office of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the investigative team examined a number of witnesses for the suspect BS et al," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, November 4.

During the examination, the KPK investigated the implementation of infrastructure project auctions and the request for fees made by Budhi to the private sector.

"The person concerned was present and confirmed, among others, related to the implementation of the auction in Banjarnegara Regency and the alleged request for a fee by the suspect BS et al," said Ali.

Actually, investigators will also examine another witness, namely a member of the Banjarnegara Regency DPRD, Moch Rachmaudin. However, Ali said that he was not present so that it would be rescheduled.

"KPK urges the cooperative witness to appear before the investigation team on the scheduled summons," he said. It was previously reported that Banjarnegara Regent Budhi was named a suspect along with Kedy Afandi (KA) who was the former head of his success team during the election. He is suspected of receiving a commitment fee of around Rp. 2.1 billion from contractors who want to get projects in his area.

Not only asking for a fee commitment, Budhi was also named a suspect because he played an active role in the implementation of the infrastructure work auction. The KPK suspects that he was directly involved in distributing the work packages at the PUPR Service, including family companies, and arranging the auction winners.

Meanwhile, Kedy is always monitored and directed by Budhi, especially when making arrangements for the division of work. This is intended so that companies affiliated with him and incorporated in the Bumi Redjo group can splash out on procurement projects.
