KUDUS - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo showcased the latest electric motorcycle made by PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (HIT) Kudus. PT HIT, an electronics manufacturer with the Polytron brand, has succeeded in making an electric motor that will be marketed soon.
"It's cool, the design is good. It's okay to drive in cities," said Ganjar Pranowo after testing the Evo electric motorcycle in Kudus, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 3.
Ganjar admitted that he was very proud because there was one more work from Central Java, an electric motorcycle made by PT HIT after previously visiting the Viar motorcycle factory in Semarang. And it turns out, not only one type, Polytron has prepared various types of electric motors.
"I think it's good, the design is good and there are various types. Now it's still developing and it hasn't been introduced yet. It will be launched soon," he said.
He assessed that the form of electric motor products made by Polytron was far more advanced and developed. In the larger motorcycle series, the design is attractive and looks more manly.
"I think we have to be prepared to move from fossil fuel motors to electric ones. And Central Java has started that. Today I went to Polytron and some time ago I saw other products that have also been launched," he said.
Meanwhile, the CEO of PT Hartono Istana Teknologi Hariono said that his party had decided to make electric motorcycles since 2018. This was done because they saw the potential of the electric motorcycle market was quite large.
"The government is also pushing for changes to motorcycles to become electric motors. Currently, we have marketed only one type, we will continue to develop it and next year we will introduce two new products. For now, the product is called Evo," he explained.
Business Development PT HIT Christopher explained that the Evo motorcycle has a maximum power specification of 3,000 watts and a maximum speed of 60 km / h with a 1,740 WH battery so that it covers a distance of 60-70 kilometers.
There are also advantages of electric motors compared to fuel motors, he said, more efficient, almost no maintenance costs at all. Just need regular checks such as brakes, bolts and others.
