Jerinx SID Becomes Anti-Drug Ambassador In Bali

DENPASAR - Musician I Gede Aryastina or familiarly called Jerinx has been appointed as an anti-drug ambassador by the Bali National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

Jerinx and his wife Nora Alexandra also attended the BNNP Bali activity when destroying evidence of narcotics at the BNNP Bali Office, Wednesday, November 3.

"Anyone can be affected, so I have to educate with a soft power approach as mandated by Mr. Golose as the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency," said the Head of the Bali Province BNN, Brigadier General Gde Sugianyar Dwi Putra.

"In addition to strict law enforcement, we must also take a soft approach, educate and convince those who are already victims or addicts to be rehabilitated not in prison. Because our prisons are already over capacity in Kerobokan Prison, 500 percent," he added.

Therefore, BNN cooperates with all parties, including leaders, to educate the dangers of drugs.

"We make sure to invite, collaborate, and educate his followers to stay away from drugs. If you are already an addict, asking for rehabilitation, asking for rehabilitation is not as easy as we say," he said.

Meanwhile, Jerinx confirmed himself to be an anti-drug ambassador. According to him, the BNNP Bali invitation began when the BNNP team watched a video clip when Jerinx was in Bali's Kerobokan prison.

"Where my wife and I sang there accompanied by Antrabez and they really like the lyrics of the song because the lyrics contain positive power so that people can change through problems. Problems must be overcome, storms must be passed so that we become stronger and stronger human beings. more positive and uplifting," said Jerinx.

BNNP Bali's offer was accepted. Jerinx hopes to work to educate the public about the dangers of narcotics.

"In the future, I think there will be many collaborations that we will do. Maybe I will go to schools, to campuses to sing while educating and many others, campaigns on social media as well," said Jerinx.
