Entering PPKM Level 1, DKI's COVID-19 Isolation Capacity Only Used 4 Percent

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria, said that only 4 percent of the COVID-19 isolation beds in the capital were used when entering PPKM Level 1 from November 2 to 15.

"We are grateful that the number in Jakarta continues to fall. If you look at the beds, the BOR (bed occupancy ratio) has dropped to 4 percent," Riza told reporters, Wednesday, November 3.

In detail, 207 of the 4,732 beds were used. Then, the use of ICU beds was 12 percent or used 87 of the 735 beds prepared.

Then, as of yesterday, the COVID-19 vaccination in the capital city reached 10,897,428 in the first dose and 8,398,405 in the second dose.

"Doses 1 and 2 have reached 19,295,833 doses. Hopefully in the next few days we will reach the targeted 11,426,456 targets," he said.

In the current implementation of PPKM Level 1, there are a number of easing activities. These include non-essential work office (WFO) capacity that is allowed up to 75 percent.

Then, the essential sector office capacity in the finance department is allowed to WFO up to 100 percent, administrative services 70 percent, capital markets and IT 100 percent, hospitality 100 percent staff.

In addition, the capacity of shops, malls, and shopping centers is allowed 100 peraen visitors with operating hours until 22.00 WIB. The capacity of restaurants, food stalls, and cafes is relaxed to 75 percent with operating hours until 22.00 WIB. Then, there is no longer a time limit for visitors to eat.

"Regarding our PPKM reaching level 1, of course we are grateful for the hard work of all parties who have been helping the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Riza.

Even so, he continued, the more easing of activities carried out, the greater the potential for transmission of the corona virus. Given, the mobility of society is increasing. Therefore, he reminded the public to continue to comply with health protocols.

"The intensity of people, the higher the potential for the crowd, the bigger the potential for the spread. So, there are only three ways, stay at home, wear masks and health protocols, and make sure you get the vaccine," he concluded.
