President Joko Widodo Arrives In Abu Dhabi To Meet Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates after a flight of approximately 7.5 hours from Glasgow, Scotland, Tuesday, November 2 Based on information shared by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, the GIA-1 plane that the President was traveling in landed at Abu Dhabi International Airport Presidential Terminal at around 22.50 local time or Wednesday, 01.50 WIB. After the plane came to a complete stop, President Jokowi was greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Arab Emirates Husin Bagis and Mrs. Farida Husin Bagis, Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Al Mazroui, and RI Defense Attache Riyadh Brigadier General Erlangga at the bottom of the plane. Before leaving the airport, President Jokowi chatted with the Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail Al Mazroui, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Arab Emirates Husin Bagis in the Majlis Room.

Next, President Jokowi and his entourage left Abu Dhabi International Airport, headed for the hotel where they stayed while in Abu Dhabi. The United Arab Emirates is the third country that President Jokowi has visited in his series of overseas visits after Italy and Scotland. In Abu Dhabi, President Jokowi will meet with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) and attend a business meeting with several figures and businessmen. President Joko Widodo's activities in Abu Dhabi are mainly to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and investment. Accompanying the President on the flight to Abu Dhabi between among others, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
