MATARAM - The chairman of the West Nusa Tenggara Indonesian Travel Association (ASITA), Dewantoro Umbu Joka, admitted that ticket reservations, tour packages, including hotels in Lombok ahead of the World Superbike (WorldSBK) event held at the Mandalika Circuit on 19-21 November were full. .

"There are 'full bookings', both flight tickets and hotels are full," he said in Mataram, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.

He admitted that since booking tickets to watch WorldSBK was opened, the number of requests to travel to Lombok has increased. The proof can be seen from hotel room reservations ordered through a number of applications both in the tourist area of Senggigi, West Lombok and Mataram City.

"Only the certainty of 'full booking' is only seen on D-4 or D-3 before WorldSBK. The name is also okay with booking, but with WorldSBK the demand for Lombok is high," said Dewantoro.

Umbu as he is familiarly called, emphasized that although the demand for Lombok ahead of WorldSBK was high, his party was worried that the availability of hotel rooms in Lombok could not accommodate the number of tourists who would attend to watch WorldSBK.

"Currently, the problem is that we still lack hotel rooms and transportation. For example, when we hosted several national events a few years ago, the problem was always insufficient hotel rooms and vehicles," he explained.

However, despite the lack of rooms and transportation, his party is optimistic that the implementation of WorldSBK in Lombok will remain lively.

"After all, this is the first event to be held in Lombok. Therefore, the expectations are definitely high," he said.
