Burned With Jealousy, Men In North Sumatra's Tanjungbalai Promise To Duel Then Stabbing His Girlfriend's Contact With Scissors

MEDAN - The man with the initials MH (20) in Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra was arrested by the Tanjungbalai Police Criminal Investigation Unit team. This man was arrested for stabbing his girlfriend's acquaintance with scissors.

Tanjungbalai Police Chief AKBP Triyadi said the persecution took place on Sunday, October 31, at the Tanjungbalai City Multipurpose Building (GOR). The victim is known as Muhammad Rizky Ramadhan (21).

"This persecution was triggered by MH's jealousy when he saw the victim exchanging messages with his girlfriend," said AKBP Triyadi, Tuesday, November 2.

Because of this jealousy, the perpetrator contacted and invited the victim to meet at the Tanjungbalai Sports Center. The perpetrator challenged the victim to a fight, but on the condition that he did not bring friends and sharp objects. The victim complied with the perpetrator's request and the two then met at the Tanjungbalai Sports Center.

"Then the victim came to the perpetrator. At that time a fight broke out," said AKBP Triyadi.

During the fight, the perpetrator stabbed the victim several times with the scissors he had prepared.

"As a result of the incident, the victim suffered stab wounds to his left hand, chest and head," he said.

Getting injured due to the stab of the perpetrator, the victim objected and reported the incident to the Tanjungbalai Police.

"The perpetrator is suspected of under Article 351 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code," said AKBP Triyadi.
