JAKARTA - Serj Tankian wants to share System Of A Down (SOAD) songs that have never been released to his fans. The band released its last album; Mesmerize and Hypnotize in 2005.

Meanwhile bassist Shavo Odadjian recently revealed in an interview with SiriusXM that SOAD had ideas for a new song but so far no music has been recorded. He said that if he were a decision maker SOAD would never stop and be able to record their current ninth or tenth album.

When asked why SOAD was unable to complete their long-awaited full album, the bassist replied: "In my world, my friends, why doesn't that happen is a big question."
Guitarist and songwriter Daron Malakian followed up on Shavo's comments saying the project would not happen anytime soon. He said, band personnel have different ways of writing songs in the studio.
"Nobody in the band said, 'I can't be in the same room as that guy.' It's not like that, "he said.

"Yes. I support (requests) of all (fans). (I will try to) convince everyone (personnel)," he added.
Despite these struggles, SOAD will return to the UK next summer to headline the Download Festival. They will complete the line-up of the event with KISS and Iron Maiden.
