JAKARTA - Rachun released their sixth EP (mini album) entitled Rachun N Roll as their interpretation of rock n roll. In this release, Rachun recounts the life anxiety that has raged among people in their early 20s, known as the quarter life crisis.

This phase includes the will and abilities that become polemic and need to be balanced, the pressures of life that are beginning to be felt, the hard work that is starting to be questioned, the needs and prices that start to choke, the process of finding an identity that reaches its peak (illustrated by hesitating in choosing a college major) , to longing for the presence of a mother figure. That is the theme of the five numbers in this EP.

However, despite all the unrest, Rachun invites his listeners to stay alive and move forward even though they often feel tired and burdened by various demands.

"Yes, it's the worst of life, rock and roll," said Firas Raditya, Rachun's bass player.

In line with the part of the lyrics "Don't tell the fish to climb the tree / But force the human to reach the star / he will try to die, burn in the atmosphere or get a fire".

"Indeed, sometimes there are many things that are difficult to achieve, but dreams and goals are important, so that we are still enthusiastic about living this life, but there is still nothing to lose, so just enjoy it," added drummer Nalendra Samudro or Ode.

In the process, Rachun had an initial plan to visualize this restlessness in the form of a short film. However, the outbreak of COVID-19 attacked and finally the shooting was failed.

Finally, Rachun decided to comicalize stories that have been written into content per week on Instagram since April 29 until the birth of this mini album on May 27, 2020, marked by a single song titled Tercekik Price.

Rachun N Roll was recorded at POTS from November 2019 to January 2020 by Firas Raditya who also doubles as a mixing and mastering engineer on this short album. All instruments were played by Firas Raditya, Nalendra Samdro, and Yudhistira, except for the song Tercekik Price, Rachun assisted by keyboardist Kenny Gabriel.
