Post Malone Dedicates His Concert to Late Oliver Tree Who Died in a Helicopter Crash

JAKARTA - Post Malone paid his last respects to his friend, Oliver Tree, at a concert held at Rogers Stadium, Toronto, Canada, recently.

The man, who is affectionately called Posty, specifically dedicated his entire performance to celebrating the life of the eccentric musician who had just passed away.

The emotional moment was also clearly recorded by the fan camera and became a hot topic on social media.

Post Malone, who was seen holding back tears on stage, expressed his great loss over the death of Oliver Tree. Holding a drink, he took the time to speak in front of thousands of spectators before continuing his actions.

"I feel like tonight, for me, is going to be a celebration of life of a man who was truly so beautiful," Post Malone said.

The 30-year-old musician also praised Oliver Tree's personality, which he knew as a true and inspiring man.

After delivering the touching message, he poured his drink on the stage floor as a symbol of the last respect for his friend.

"A true man I knew and so beautiful, and inspired the world with his art, also with his heart and soul. Attendees, we have lost a beautiful soul named Oliver Tree," he added.

For information, Oliver Tree reportedly died at the age of 32 after being involved in a helicopter accident in Brazil.

The multitalented singer, songwriter, and music producer was one of six people killed when two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, June 14, local time. The owner of the full name Oliver Tree Nickell was in South America on his global tour series titled World's First World Tour.

The death of the singer of "Life Goes On" shocked the global music industry, especially because he had just released his fourth studio album titled "Love You Madly Hate You Badly" in April.

Born in Santa Cruz, California, Oliver Tree is widely known for his eccentric appearance with a distinctive bowl haircut and thick sunglasses.

After starting his career with the EP "Demons" in 2013, his name skyrocketed through the song "When I'm Down" (2016) until he successfully produced the albums "Ugly Is Beautiful" (2020) and "Alone in a Crowd" (2023).
