Without Burden and Regret, Dikta Presents Unapologetic EP

JAKARTA - Dikta continues his musical journey that had stopped. Now he is back with something more personal, without pretense and emotional, namely the EP titled Unapologetic.

Released on May 15, this album marks a new phase for Dikta as a singer. This work is made more daring, exploratory and contains many interesting stories.

Unapologetic itself represents Dikta's condition while working on this EP. He said that all of his creative process was done consciously, full of confidence, and without any regrets.

"I'm happy with this new EP. I really give 100% of what I have for this EP," he said.

Containing six songs with various musical colors, this EP is worked with new energy. Dikta revealed that the album's work was relatively short, only about two months.

There is a musicality to Dikta that has never really been shown before in his tracks. Although not all of them are experimental, some of the songs in it are a space for Dikta to finally play the musical colors that he has always wanted to explore but have not had time to realize.

Stop Bilang Iya was chosen as the focus track for this EP. The song is a message and reminder for Dikta and listeners not to always be people pleasers.

"If it used to be that the theme was more literal love. This single, if you look deeper, is actually also about love, namely about loving yourself or self-love," he explained.

In the hearing session held before the release of the EP, Dikta summarized this mini album as a gift for something or people he loves.

"If it can be concluded, maybe this EP is a gift for those who always support me, the people I care about. Hopefully it can also relate to those who listen," he said.

With the song material that combines various elements and genres of music, Dikta again finds his passion to continue making music. The release of this EP is a release that makes him grateful to be able to make something he likes without certain limitations.
