Madonna Disappointed to Lose Costume Used When Appearing at Coachella

JAKARTA - Madonna's joy after successfully shaking the Coachella 2026 stage with Sabrina Carpenter, instantly turned into grief.

The Queen of Pop has just announced a shocking news via her personal Instagram account that a number of stage costumes and her personal archive collection have mysteriously disappeared after her appearance in Indio, California, last weekend.

This incident was very painful for Madonna, considering that the missing outfit was not just ordinary clothes, but an important part of the history of her career journey in the music industry.

Among the missing items were vintage jackets, corsets, and dresses that she took directly from her personal archives to celebrate the return of the legendary Confessions era.

Through a post on Instagram Story, the 67-year-old singer stated that the moment that should have been a celebration in his career was now tainted by the loss incident.

"I still feel high since Friday night at Coachella! Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it happen. Bringing Confessions II back to its original place is an incredible sensation! This full circle moment feels so different until I realize that the vintage pieces I'm wearing are gone - my costume taken from my personal archive; jackets, corsets, dresses, and all the other clothes," said Madonna.

The "Material Girl" singer insists the items have priceless sentimental value.

"Other archival items from the same era were also lost. I hope and pray that there is a kind soul who finds these items and contacts my team. This is not just clothes for me, but part of my life history," he added.

Upon the announcement, Madonna included the official email address of her team and promised rewards for anyone who managed to return the collection safely.

Madonna's presence at Coachella 2026 itself was one of the biggest surprises this year. She looked stunning in a purple underwear while performing hit songs such as "Vogue" and "Like A Prayer" with Sabrina Carpenter.

The performance was also an event to promote his latest album, "Confessions II", which is scheduled to be released on July 3. This album is a continuation of "Confessions on a Dance Floor" which was released two decades ago, namely in 2005.

"Twenty years ago, I performed at Coachella in a dance tent, and it was the first time I performed 'Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part I' in America. So, you can imagine how happy I was to be able to come back here 20 years later. This is a very meaningful moment for me," recalled Madonna on the Coachella stage before the incident occurred.

Until now, the local police and Coachella organizers have not given an official statement regarding the alleged theft in the backstage area.
