Meghan Trainor Cancels Entire Tour Series for Family, the Third Child's Presence is the Main Reason

JAKARTA - Meghan Trainor surprisingly announced the cancellation of her entire concert tour series titled "Get In Girl".

The decision was made by the American singer with the reason to focus on the family after the arrival of new members.

Through his statement on social media, Trainor expressed his deep apology to fans who had been looking forward to his appearance on stage.

"After a lot of reflection and some very difficult conversations, I have made the difficult decision to cancel the Get In Girl tour," Trainor said, quoting the caption of her upload, Sunday, April 19.

The singer of "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" explained that the dynamics as a mother with three children are a huge challenge today. Moreover, he has just welcomed the birth of his third baby.

"Balancing the release of a new album, the preparation of a national tour, and welcoming our new baby girl into our growing family of five is more than I can handle at the moment, and I have to be at home and present for all of them at the moment," he continued.

The 32-year-old singer realized that his decision would trigger great disappointment for his loyal listeners. However, he emphasized that his main priority at this time is the stability of his family.

"I know this decision may disappoint, but it's the right decision for my family and me now. I promise to be back soon, and I can't wait for you to hear this new record. I'm so proud of it, and I'm forever grateful for your love and support," added Trainor.

According to the original schedule, the "Get In Girl" tour was supposed to start on June 12 in Michigan, and would visit prestigious locations such as Madison Square Garden in New York and the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The series of this summer's tour is planned to close at the Kia Forum, Los Angeles, on August 15.

Although the family's reason was the main point, a number of speculations on social media had mentioned other factors such as the lack of maximum ticket sales at several locations - referring to the data of the seat map which was still available last month.

In the midst of this tour cancellation, Meghan Trainor still ensures that other music projects continue as planned. She is preparing for the release of her seventh studio album, titled "Toy With Me", which is scheduled to be released on April 24.
